Giant 300 Million Mantra Prayer Wheel
The Giant 300 Million Mantra Prayer Wheel at Long-nying Chöling Monastery was initiated and primarily funded by Khenrinpoche Namchak Dorji, the 7th Abbot of the monastery. It was completed in loving memory of Venerable Lama Norbu Wangdi, the 5th Chief Abbot.
The prayer wheel contains nearly 300 million sacred mantras and dhāraṇīs of Amitābha Buddha, Avalokiteśvara, Guru Padmasambhava, Tārā, and other enlightened deities. It was created as a lasting source of merit, blessing, compassion, and spiritual benefit for all sentient beings.
The project required several months of careful preparation and dedicated work. We sincerely thank the artisans, monks, workers, and Dharma friends who contributed their time, skills, and assistance toward its completion.
